![]() EXCEPTIONAL RESULTSIn 2019, Multi County Crime Stoppers received 1,207 tips that led to over 3,800 law enforcement follow ups, 18 arrests, 1 cleared case and 34 criminal arrests. Last year, $43,700 in property had been recovered due to these tips.Since MCCS’s inception, the program has recovered over $16,972,472. We will soon top $17,000,000 in recoveries! Given these results, the Board is constantly exploring better marketing to gain more tips. In January 2020, $2,500 was awarded on 3 tips for the capture of 3 felons all of whom were featured in our weekly Top Ten Fugitive Report. Those arrested were convicted of either aggravated assault, theft or aggravated sexual assault of a child. As a reminder, rewards on tips that lead to the capture and arrest of criminals are funded by court case assessments and do not draw from corporate and individual contributions. Charitable contributions raised are accounted for separately and fund equipment and training rigorously reviewed and justified to better support the mission and successes of law enforcement agencies in our multi county area. |

![]() SPOTLIGHT - REMEMBERING HENRY BROOKSIn December 2019, we lost Henry Brooks, a pillar of the Montgomery County community. Henry led a full and impactful life. For decades, Henry and his wife Billie served this Crime Stoppers board as board members, board meeting hosts, advocates, law enforcement liaisons and donors. Without their effort, talents and advocacy, this Crime Stoppers board may very well have failed and almost $17,000,000 of recoveries would not have then happened. Henry and previously Billie have passed from this world but are far from forgotten. |
