Welcome to the July 2020 newsletter of Multi-county Crime Stoppers serving the Texas counties of Montgomery, Liberty, and San Jacinto. This newsletter is used to keep our supporters informed about our activities and other topics of interest. |

MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGSIn March 2020, our board meeting was cancelled due to nationwide social isolation measures. No tips required immediate action and other items could be managed effectively. Since then your board has held regular monthly meetings on its regular schedule and has conducted its business as is needed and necessary. Your board enhanced its capability to approve measures and respond rapidly to urgent matters in between monthly board meetings. The TIPS hotline is functioning at full capacity and should be utilized. As needed, measures will be reviewed and passed using remote meeting and messaging capabilities.Support for law enforcement will not rest. |

SPOTLIGHT - sAFETY AND SECURITY RESOURCECurrently, safety and security is “top of mind” for many given recent, ongoing events. As such, you may be looking for information on how to stay safe or otherwise improve safety and security for you, your family, friends and your business. If so, have you considered the resources provided by Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson and his team? If not, please take a few minutes to visit this website at mctxsheriff.org.What will you find? If you are a resident of Montgomery County you may click on “vacation watch” on the lower right hand corner of the home page. By following this link, you can arrange for complimentary Sheriff’s department visit to your home should you be away on vacation or for other reasons. Perhaps this service will keep your residence safer and provide comfort while you are away? Under the tab for “support services” you can find a second tab to click on titled “crime prevention.” In this area is housed links to a number of resources including tips for home and vehicle safety. Do you want to stay safe? Perhaps these tips will help you do just that. And we are sure Sheriff Henderson will not mind if residents of Liberty and San Jacinto County learn from this valuable resource center. Check it out, it might just prove invaluable. |

County and state government officials are consistently updating residents on local conditions regarding the coronavirus and its impacts. Please refer to those sources as well as national publications you trust to gain the latest information. Let’s all be safe, follow guidelines and help others who are at risk.
